With more than 35 years of hands-on animal care experience, caring for animals has always been a central part of my life. My journey began with rabbits, chickens, horses, geese, and a variety of personal pets including fish, birds, gerbils, cats, and dogs.
Pause-4-Paws was founded in 2004 with a passion for providing loving, dependable pet care. In 2014, the business was paused following the birth of our son, and in 2024, we were excited to reopen and welcome pets back into our home and hearts.
Our resident furry family members are Harry, a 5-year-old Yorkie/Terrier mix, and Champ, a lovable “Heinz 57” rescue mix. Champ is our proud foster fail who has three legs and one eye, but an incredible spirit. When we first adopted him, he was extremely shy and fearful. Through patience, love, and extensive training, Champ earned both his American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen and Urban Canine Good Citizen certifications — a true testament to his resilience and heart
